If you were injured on a property because the owner did not keep it safe, Texas law may entitle you to compensation. We help you prove it was their responsibility.
For a premises liability case, that matters for one very concrete reason. Every one of those purchases is a person who walked into a store, a restaurant, a mall, or a parking lot as a customer. And in Texas, a customer is an invitee, the category owed the highest duty of care by the property owner. Warning you about a hazard the owner already knows about is not enough. The owner also has a duty to reasonably inspect the property for the hazards it has not found yet.
A commercial floor carrying that much traffic gets wet, gets dirty, and wears down faster than a short staffed business can keep up with. That is exactly where these cases happen, and it is exactly where the owner wants the conversation to end at "it was just an accident."

Premises liability is the area that covers injuries you suffer on someone else's property due to an unsafe condition. In Texas, the owner's duty depends on why you were there, and you must prove they knew or should have known about the hazard and failed to fix it.
Property owners (stores, restaurants, buildings, homes) have a duty to keep their premises reasonably safe for those who enter. When they fail to do so and someone is injured, there may be a premises liability case.
It is not just slips and falls. It includes poor lighting that enables an assault, stairs or railings in bad shape, unprotected pools, and other dangerous conditions the owner ignored.
How much duty the owner owes you depends on why you were on the property. Texas defines three categories:
Being injured on a property is not enough. You must show a dangerous condition existed, that the owner knew or should have known about it, had a reasonable time to fix it or warn, and did not, and that this caused your injury.
Proving the "knew or should have known" is the hardest part, and it is done with cameras, maintenance and inspection logs, prior reports, and testimony. It is evidence that is lost if no one requests it quickly.
